God will never place you before a giant that you cannot take down. He has already armed you with all that you need to see it fall.
“Not by might, nor by power, but by My Spirit, says the Lord of hosts.” (Zechariah 3:6)
God is worthy of our worship just because of who He is, not because of what He can do for us.
We whine when things get tough.
We take His love, and mercy, and grace for granted.
It’s expected.
It’s who He is.
We often act like He owes us something.
He doesn’t owe us a single thing.
In fact, we should be continually in awe that He shows us so much attention.
We don’t deserve anything from Him.
Even if He never showed Himself to us again, He would still deserve ALL of our worship.
He is holy.
He is just.
He is good.
He is righteous.
We owe Him a life of worship because of who He is.
And still so many times we quickly lose sight of Him in the midst of things that will eventually fade away.
Why are we here?
Not to get our degrees…..
Not for our dream careers…..
Not even to be in full-time ministry…..
Those things are great, but if we miss out on HIM everything we do is pointless.
We forget the very purpose of our existence…..to worship and adore the King of kings.
To know Him.
It’s the only thing that will make you feel fully alive.
